Who we are
Soknak Media Ltd (“Soknak”, “we”, “us”) is a creator, media and commerce company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16554307), with its registered office at 22 Fullbrook Drive, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 6AX, United Kingdom.
This policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you visit soknakmedia.com, contact us, or apply to work with us. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Soknak Media Ltd is the controller of that information.
What information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in one of our forms or email us, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, country, company or brand name, website, social media profile links and usernames, audience and content details, product and sales information (for example monthly GMV or budget ranges), and any message you write.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is used to run and secure the website.
We do not ask for special category data (such as health or religious beliefs). Please do not include it in your messages.
How we use your information
We use your information to: reply to enquiries and arrange calls; review creator, MSN, brand and TikTok Shop applications and decide whether we are a good fit; prepare proposals and enter into and manage agreements with creators, content owners and brands; run, maintain and secure the website; and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract; our legitimate interests in running our business, responding to enquiries and assessing partnerships (balanced against your rights); compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them or if the law otherwise allows it, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Forms and applications
Our website has forms to join our creator network, apply for MSN, start a brand campaign and book a TikTok Shop consultation. The information you submit is sent to our team so we can review it and get back to you, usually within 2 working days.
Submitting a form does not create an agreement or guarantee that we will work together. If you apply on behalf of someone else, or share details of other people, please make sure you are allowed to do so. Our services are not intended for anyone under 18; creators under 18 may only work with us with the involvement and written consent of a parent or guardian.
Cookies and tracking
At the moment our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If we add them in future, we will update our Cookie Policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed with: service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting (Hostinger), email and file storage providers, acting on our instructions; platforms and partners where this is part of the service you have asked for (for example, submitting your content or details to MSN, TikTok Shop, Meta or Snapchat programmes, or introducing a creator to a brand), and only with your agreement; professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants; and authorities where the law requires it.
Some of our team and service providers are located outside the UK. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it. As a guide: enquiries and applications that do not lead to an agreement are kept for up to 24 months; information about creators, content owners and brands we work with is kept for the length of the relationship and up to 6 years afterwards for legal, tax and accounting reasons; website server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to direct marketing at any time; ask for a copy of the information you gave us in a portable format; and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email enquiry@soknakmedia.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), but we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
